Bomb Detection Equipment Will Be Relocated At LAX In An Effort To Speed Things Up

"Los Angeles International Airport plans to move its imposing bomb-detection machines out of the passenger terminals as part of a $600 million slate of improvements scheduled to get under way early next year. Travelers will no longer have to haul their luggage to one of the machines after checking in at the ticket counter. Instead, they'll be able to leave their bags with a ticket agent and watch them scoot away on a conveyor belt."
